4 JUSTICE EMORY
Action Plan
Inform Emory students and faculty of the severity of the racial injustice perpetuated throughout the justice system by publishing written reports about the excessive hardships caused by imprisonment or close relationships to those imprisoned under the current criminal justice system. We hope to bring the student body’s attention to the seemingly nonsensical reasons why some people are incarcerated by also working with the organization FAMM.
Activate our collective knowledge as a campus to encourage Georgia and federal legislators to take action towards criminal justice reform.
Fight for clemency or pardon for individuals serving unusually long sentences with the organization CAN-DO Clemency.
Work to improve conditions inside prisons and beyond for children, families, and individuals impacted by the criminal justice system.
